What
is
the
purpose/goal
of
this
trip?
July
1-‐3,
1863,
marks
the
bloodiest
conflict
in
American
history,
but
its
tragedy
is
laced
with
innumerable
occasions
of
bravery,
glory,
and
compassion.
In
his
Gettysburg
Address
Abraham
Lincoln
said,
“From
these
honored
dead
we
[must]
take
increased
devotion
to
that
cause
for
which
they
gave
the
last
full
measure.”
We'll
see
to
exactly
that:
we'll
look
at
how
the
battle
unfolded, at
countless
stories
of
heroism
on
both
sides,
and
at
how
the
gospel
formed
men
of
character
and
honor,
both
Yankee
and
Confederate,
who
engaged
in
this
critical
conflict.
